the apple sales rep did not mention earlier in the week that the 1.25dp was a limited edition, so i guess the question is now moot. do appreciate the thoughts and responses.

since we're currently using a G3/466, it was very seductive to think of making the jump to a G4dp. amazing how the tools can become more than just a means to an end, no?

randall, as a garden model railroader, we do have a great appreciation for how obsessive hobbies can become.
