Ah, please don't take me to critisizing Color Finesse for I assure I am not (!) :) Hardware independancy is the wave of the future. In the meantime however, I'm curous as to what you would think about having CF que a low(er) quality render of the timeline that could then be acsessed within the CF interface as more or less a moving (not just scrubbing)refrence? On the same train of thought, would it (hypothetically speaking at least) be possible to keyframe CF on the timeline and have CF create stills/thumbnails at these places accessable in the refrence gallery? While right now I suspect my workflow to be relitivly smooth once I get my new PowerBook and install FCP, Automatic Duck, and CF - but where I see this still creation via keyframe benifit would be in pre-rendered timelines that have only 1 video track where maybe they edited in something and turned the whole project into a Cineon file or something. I understand that for short form projects this wouln'd be too critical, but for features it'd be a godsend.
What do you think?
