I assume you're using Echo Fire's LiveFire Video-to-FireWire routing feature?

If so, then Echo Fire only routes the video portion of the movie, not the audio. The technical issue is that QuickTime has separated the video and audio streams before we see the video data. So we can route the video, but not the audio, which has already been sent to the standard audio output.

For use in audio editing applications, we find that people either don't care about the original digital video audio track, or they strip it off and bring it into the editing application as another digital audio track.
