Tommy-
I wouldn't think it would be that hard to replicate the logo in Maya. Have you tried brining the image into Maya and using a poly plane as a image plane and modeling on top of it? (Image planes can be slow, thats why i just suggested putting your texture on a poly/nurbs plane)
The shapes in the logo are simple, so it shouldn't be that hard.
