Hi David - that sounds like a very good solution but I don't know if it will get the job I need done (or if I will be able to do it - I am not very good at this yet). Here are my questions:
1) What is a degree-1 curve?
2) Where would I place the curves? My tree isn't really complete, and I am trying to cover that up (Thiugh I suppose I could go back and finish it if need be)
3)with this method, will I be able to animate the leaves flowing in the wind?
I might give you a hollar when I try this, since MEL scripts and expressions are not something I know anything about yet. For now I was looking for something simpler like flats to put an animated texture on, but I will try your method.
