I have the Elura (first edition prior to the 10) it has optical stabalization and progressive scan and also a RGB primary filter. I have been very happy with the quality of the video shot with this cam. It is good in low light and the optical stabilization is really great -- almost like putting the camera on a tripod.

Progressive scan is a good feature -- both for stills and to avoid interlacing problems. However, it comes at the cost of jumpy fast pans (which you shouldn't do in any case).

Unfortunately, the original Elura has morphed into the Elura 10 which is even smaller but lacks optical stabilization and the Optura.

I was just handling the optura and would opt for that camera today. The eye piece tilts up, the battery is much bettter, it has a very nice hand grip. Plus it's form factor is like the Elura (a bit on steroids).

Jay
