Hi Richard,
Perhaps the re-capture is the best and fastest. I overlooked that most of the freeware stuff and the paid software were slanted towards Windows OS anyway.
If need be, you can contact my good friend, Sean or Ken at Audiovisual Technique Ltd. I know they have quite a number of PCs, some just lying about...so a quick plug into one of these shouldn't be a problem. There is also a fridge in their office!
