Guys

I needed to format my C drive due to problems i was having. After a fresh install from the Win 98 CD, i thought i was back on the road, however, when i now come to reinstalling my graphics software and sound blaster etc... from CD... I can not find my CD drive anywhere???

A bit of history.
I had two Hard Drives and two CD drives (one is a burner/RW). I decided to buy a new 120 gig HD. Which meant that i had to disable one of the above. I chose to disable my DVD ROM drive (secondary master). After having numerous problems installing my new drive via the BIOS tools, it finally worked.

Now that i have formatted my system, this HD looks like it has disappeared aswell.

Can anyone help me or advise me how i can activate my CD/RW. I tried disconnecting the new drive and reconnecting the DVDROM but the BIOS looks for the HD and will not get past the DOS startup screen.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Chris

PS. Upon booting the computer, the bios does indicate that i have a cd burner as a slave.
