For me, I prefer to never store video on my system drive. Defrag issues and such, plus old habits die hard.

My preferance for these systems are 32 gig or so for system and then more drives for video. If you get more then 3 then you might want to consider hardware raid 5 for safety. That worked great for me but it costs extra $$. It just depends on how important not loosing anything to a crash is. Hard drives are expendables.
