Stick with windows 2K, you will be better off. There should be a jumper setting for each processor, make sure that they are both the same. The manual should have pictures of where the jumpers be, and their settings (although manuals can be wrong, my Tyan K7 was.......)

Try using a different HD. You problems do sound like a hardware conlfict though, hmmmmmmm. Keep me posted.
