It's not a completely uncharted territory. I have done several projects using +DL, and have been very pleased. I find myself not worrying as much about the bitrate in the sense I will use CBR with birates on par with what I used for my max VBR to do my projects. I can fit more high quality video per disc, and (knock on wood), they have performed better than I had expected based on early reports of poor disc compatibility. In fact, I they play on players that wouldn't take + media at all in the past, and only a few brands of - media.
