Haven't used Main Concept or Ligos. Comparison tests I've seen place Cinemacraft at the top followed by TMPG and then the other encoders- including MC and Ligos. I would put Bitvice's image quality near par with TMPG but slower. Cinemacraft is still the best and appreciably faster than TMPG. If you are only on a Mac and have the time BitVice is a great choice- blows away Apple, Cleaner, and Heuris.
