Blur tranistion too much for Apple MPEG2?

Hello creative DVD cows,
I'm creating a slideshow to burn with iDVD, exporting a QT highest quality file ifrom FCP in t, and making all the scaling, ordering and transitioning within FCP in preference to relying on iDVD for that. I quite like Eureka's free Blur accross transition between pix (I sec) in the timeline but I have a feeling the effect might be too much for Apples MPEG2 codec to handle.
I will only find out by burning one, but if anyone has any suggestions for what I'm trying to accomplish, I'd love the benefit of their experience.
Many thanKS,
Kevin
