Another Demux question -Source from Pansonic DMR E20

The PAL Version of the Panasonic DMR-E20 has firewire - the resultant encoding is superb.
For months I've wanted to experiment demuxing and reauthoring the encoded files and haven't found the time now I have I've not had much success.
I've tried demuxing the VOB in TMPGenc that gives me a PAL 704x 576 NOT 720 and Smart Ripper tells me that the source files are NTSC which they are not.
Any ideas anyone done this either in PAL or NTSC????
