The used route may be the best way for you to go.
I don't think you'll find a prime wide angle lens that isn't designed for HDTV...and which will carry a corresponding high price tag.
I use the Fuji 10x4.8 and love it...but it cost $ 20K. Fuji makes a Professional grade 12x6.8 lens w/o a 2X...I've seen them on sale in the $ 3,500 price range...but if you're not happy with the quality of the lens you have now, you won't be pleased with the quality of the 12x6.8 either.
