Whoop! Whoop! (sound of alarms) Nets behind the les will affect the backfocus. This may not be seen in more closed-down settings, but if you start heading toward wide open you will definitely see soft wide shots. Be certain to backfocus the lens AFTER adding the lens to the rear element, or you could be in for a nasty surprise when you see your work on a large monitor.
Also, look at your fabric against a hot light before you mount it to the lens. If you see a star effect, then be certain to mount the fabric in the proper attitude to give you the best looking star off highlights.
