In another forum, Matt indicated that it would port.
A reason why a lot of graphics devleopment starts on Mac is that most 2-d designers work on Macs.
This is because it is a more sensitive instrument for graphics. When I worked on PC, I noticed that on a Mac, controls like levels are more incremental. Because of the gamma, you have a wider range of visibility. Print people find that it is better with fonts. Also, most Mac artists maintain their computers without extensive training.
PC on the otherhand has the advantage of multi processing and speedier rendering times, which has made it popular for 3-d, and has attracted robust 3-d programs like Studio Max and Soft Image. Also, you have Bill Gates who can work behind the scenes pumping money into development and other things.
But this is why 2-d programs and tools generally start on the Mac.
