Hi -- you've probably done this already but just in case: Avid drives will go AWOL if there are any corrupt files in the OMFI folder. Check in that folder on your ailing drives for "Creating" files or a "Creating" folder. If you find any, trash them. They are poison. Likewise, TMP files can cause problems. Trash the media databases and let Avid rebuild them. Swap out the firewire cables for different cables. Is this a Firewire array, or standalone drives? If the drives are not too big and too full, you can copy the media to another drive, and then reformat the firewire drive(s). I know this is a big pain but I've been doing that on Avids for centuries and sometimes you have to do it. I don't think Disk Warrior makes a PC product but it has revived some extremely ill Lacie Porsche drives for one of my clients who had similar problems. Turns out the file structure was sick and had to be rebuilt. Good luck!
