[Dennis Kutchera] "The experience seems to vary from owner to owner, but one thing I have noticed, Avid is not fixing some of the bugs fast enough for my liking.

I'll echo that (gee... I'm doing that a lot today). I'm also suprised by the bugs that appear in the bug fixes.

For example, today I am fighting with a recurring issue I am getting a pink stripe at the edge of blanking and picture (sometimes, but more than not) when I apply some AVX plugins. I had this in 4, 4.1, 4.11 and now 4.31. Is it Avid's fault or the plugin maker's? All I know is that the same plugins worked fine in Xpress DV 3.5"

Bingo. Were those Boris, Profound Effects, or 3Prong plugins by any chance? Eight or nine months since the release of Xpress Pro and these things still aren't fixed. I'm tired of selling a client on a 16:9 look so they don't freak out about the "flashing pink stuff". It's been in Avid's court to fix them. Even for a prosumer product, I expect a little bit more than this.
