Both Animation and None are 8-bit RGBA 4:4:4:4. If you need something higher than 8-bit, Microcosm works in both 8-bit and 16-bit RGBA 4:4:4:4. BitJazz is working (in beta) on a new v410 codec running at 10-bit 4:4:4 Y'CrCb (no alpha support as it doesn't fit the v410 spec). They also have current running v408 and r408 codecs running at 4:4:4:4 Y'CrCbA.

If you want the best quality for archival purposes in RGB[A], go with Microcosm at 16-bpc.

For more info on these codecs, go to http://codecs.onerivermedia.com

Good luck!
