Devin, I would STRONGLY recommend that you use CURRENT software... that means the latest revs of the Media 100 software off their site, then be absolutly certain you are using the proper OS that they recommend, THEN, make sure that you have updated all your FIRMWARE for your SCSI cards and monitor cards.

I had the lock up after digitize issue and it turned out to be MY FAULT. When I up graded to 7.0 and subsequently 7.0.2 I had read that I should update the firmware on my SCSI card and had downloaded the firmware update but I had failed to actually run the update... when I called Platinum they walked me thru all the software that I was running and we discovered that the firmware on my Adaptec card was very stale.

AFter that update my system is ROCK SOLID. It's been on for days, edit and AE, all day Render all night, REPEAT

If you are still having problems your system just aint right.

First rule of upgrades... EVERYTHING EFFECTS EVERYTHING.

Like those games that people install, or possibly a palm pilot cradle, maybe a screen saver or a piece of Freeware or Shareware.

When FCP can do all that my Media100 does in Real Time I'll be interested. but it just can't so I'm sticking with my Media100.

fen
