Scott Donahue - Media 100 Customer AdvocateTime to start the next chapter
by on Nov 21, 2003 at 8:43:25 pm

Hi all,

A new beginning actually starts with an ending and my time here at Media 100 has come to an end.

I wanted to let you all know that I have truly enjoyed working at Media 100 for the last 8 1/2 years and serving you, our customers. As much as I have seen the Media 100 products mature, I have also seen your businesses develop, change, grow and flourish. I have enjoyed meeting many of you at
the local User Groups - from London to Gainesville, from Toronto (that took
place in the SkyDome at a Blue Jays/ Red Sox game) to right here in Boston -
not to mention the annual IMUG event that has grown to take on a life of its
own. The days of supporting version 2.5 on the Tech Support lines seems so
long ago. I want to thank Carey Dissmore, Rob Birnholz, Steve Kahn, Dan
Spiess, Paul Leone, Paul Izbicki, Jeff Handy and of course, Philip Hodgetts
for their support, friendship and insight. I would be remiss not mention
Marianna Morley's name. I want to thank the rest of you for letting me into
your lives and allowing me to get to know you.

As I leave Media 100, effective today, I will leave you in the very capable and understanding hands of Mike Savello (whom many of you already know) and Rick Keilty. Their work with Media 100 i and 844/X continues and I have alot of confidence in these 2 gentlemen. I will tell you that they are as professional and understanding as they get and they have been a joy to work with.

My only regret is that I will not be here to realize and be a part of the upcoming developments that you will see in the near future. These are features that people have been asking for. I am sorry that I can not go into detail but I hope that you enjoy them and find them to be very useful (I know that Jeff Handy will!)

As for me and my future plans, I already have my eyes set on the future... although some will say that becoming the next manager of the Boston Red Sox is a stretch. So does anyone have Theo Epstein phone number?? Honestly, I have some ideas and I look forward to exploring them soon. Hopefully, the right fit will present itself. In the mean time, its time to look at things half full and look forward to spending time our 2 boys and enjoying the holidays.

If you need to get in touch with me, you can contact me at scojosox@excite.com

It's been a great ride! I wish you all luck. I'll be watching from the sidelines!
Take care all and I hope to see you soon.

Best Regards,
-- Scott Donahue
Former Media 100 Customer Advocate and
Manager of Customer Resources and Development
