Always close the monitor window when Mastering and always turn off the 'scroll timeline' option in General preferences. However if it keeps locking up in the same place these are probably not the culprits. Does it play fine through that section that it aborts on when you are not mastering? If not then you may have a corrupt media file and/or a bad program. HTH -Gary
