16:9 Progressive on a PDX10?

Hi...
I know that on my TRV900 when I shoot in Progressive mode I can only do so in 4:3 mode. But given that the PDX10 has 16:9 CCD's, if I shoot in progressive mode will I get a true 16:9 frame in progressive mode? I assume that Progressive mode will give the best quality, approaching (if not achieving) true broadcast quality. Is this a fair assumption? I also plan to shoot at a shutter speed of 30; I did on the TRV900 to get a more film like feel, but didn't shoot in progressive mode as I didn't like the 4:3 ratio. Comments?
