I use them all the time, I have a project that's supposed to have a fixed ending time, but sometimes overruns 10-15min, and I have a remote cam that I can't get to quickly and put a new tape in, so I use 80's in it with no problem, if the project ends on time, I just copy the 80 to a 60 and use the 80 again the next week, It sometimes goes 2-3 times before an overrun, I've probably used 60-70 80s over 4yrs doing this without a dropout.
