New Hi 8 recommendation

Well I replaced the Lithium, it was a CR 2025 like you said but the camera got even worse. It apprently is fried/gone/dead. It will play a few seconds using the remote but the on camera buttons do not work. The Lithium brought the chime sound back when ejecting but that was it. I am going to have to buy another Hi8 as I have a lot of stuff to import and that was my back up system.This Hi8 lasted only 3 years. Not sure I want to get another Sony - any advice.
