Re: Head cleaner for VX2000

When I finally got that `Clean Head' message, while recording my sister's wedding, the cleaning tape didn't help much. Still had several glitches afterwards.

I have used the cleaning tape earlier after seeing recorded glitches (but no message), and that seemed to help at that time.

I suspect that once the dirty head problem is bad enough to trip the alarm message, the problem is too severe for the tape to entirely correct.

After the problem s experience at the wedding, I blew out the tape drive compartment with 30 PSI dry filtered nitrogen, and that has fixed the problem. I did get a message posted that the Nitroge blow was a bad idea, but what can I say, it worked.
