I've done analog slo-mo for decades.
But the best-looking slo-mo I've ever done is digitally in Final Cut Pro with standard 1/60 shutter.
It looks beautiful, almost like a film-camera over-crank, much smoother than Betacam or 1" tape playback slo-mo.

Boyd is correct.
If you use faster shutter speeds EACH individual frame will be "clear and crisp" but the slo-mo will not appear as "smooth."

Unless this is for sports analysis, stay away from any unusual camera adjustments and do it all in post.
