OK, OK take a breath........

Better?

Now, the sad thing is that ALL of the PD-150s and VX-2000s have that same "hum". While most aren't immediately aware of it (due to their lack of experieince with high end cameras), it is present.

Let me ask you a few questions.

What are you shooting EXACTLY? Indoor or outdoor? How long at a time? Environmental conditions? What is your desired outlet? What is your subject?

These are all important, although most won't be definitive answers.

Personally, I think the VX-1000 has some of the best audio capture available. The VX-2000/PD-150 is the same digital audio section with the 32Khz audio of the VX-1000 simply "upsampled" to 48Khz. The DSR-250 has a very nice audio section too, but it really isn't worth the extra expense when compared to the VX-1000. The GY-DV500u is a sweet camera, but is definately a professional tool for people with a bit more experience behind the viewfinder.

Give me some specifics and I'll try to narrow down the choices to what you need from my perspective.

Michael
