Hi Peter,
Have you been using those "6th sense" abilities of yours ("I see dead microphones!") ?
Where did you see Jaxon say he was using an ME66? (He said a Rode Condenser.)
I doubt he was actually "over-driving" his Rodes with chamber music (overtones maybe!?)
But no matter, you're advice is still correct regarding inappropriate close-micing.
See, you're even right when you're mistaken... how do you do it?
