The Sony shoots 1080i to Mini DV tape using MPEG 2 transport stream and uses 4.2.0 color space. The CCD's are 1.333 wide so the image is 1080 x 1440.
I found using the better quality tiff files looked odd when I tried to compress the footage to MPEG (not sure why). I want to create a DVD at the end of the project as well. (I haven't tried the Targas yet.)
I am still foggy about which would be the best "progressive" output for the dlp projector. I get confilicting info on WM9 vs. Quicktime. (at the moment I'm leaning WM9)
I am using PPro to output the master. I'm not sure how the Windows "9.1" audio works. I was planning to get the Dolby 5.1 codec but I think I'll test the WM9 audio first.
