PPro PAL Encode...how to?
by

I have a project, regular NTSC format (720x480, 29.97 fps)now, in an old version of Premiere (5.1...have already purchased PPro 1.5 but am waiting for my new Dell workstation to arrive before I install PPro 1.5) that I need to get to PAL DV-CAM for a UK client. Here is what I was going to do. Am having an outside company record to PAL with their DV-CAM deck...good thing is they use PPro 1.5 too. I could either encode from current Premiere version to PAL (720x576 and 24fps)via AVI format (perhaps PICVideo MJPEG codec) and deliver to company via data DVD...or wait to get PPro1.5 installed and output it then to PAL format...here are my questions:
1. What would be the best way to output from PPro1.5 (as I don't have it installed yet)
2. Do you think opening my Premiere 5.1 project in PPro1.5 will mess up transitions/composites etc.
3. Anything else you can think of concerning the above proceedure.
Thanks,
J
