PPro disappearing or qutting on large sequences

I've cut a couple of projects already, and upgrated to PPr 1.5.1 and aspect hd 3.0, in the middle of the first one. Built a number of larger sequences from smaller ones, puttin 15 or 20 minutes sequences together for 60 minute sequences to drop back to HDV tape. And up to yesterday, things were working great. On the last one, however, PPro. seems to be exciting on its own or giving me the message it had to shut down due to an error. Sometimes it pops up a tiny window with error 05 in it, and an "OK" button to click on, and whe I do, PPro exits. I've increased the RAM to 2GB. I degramented the system disk. I've turned off all auto updating from windows XP and MacAffee. I don't even know if MacAffee is conflicking, but it didn't up until yesterday.
I'm stumped.
I can't even edit know because now playing the large files sometimes makes PPro just disappear completely.
