If you have access to a TBC deck, it would really help or if you can get your hands on one of the Canopus ADVC cards. Some of them have inbuilt correction. If not, the best way to remove grain is to apply a tad bit of gaussian blur.

I have Procoder 2 and it does a GREAT job of removing noise and other garbage from old video, but I am not sure about Procoder Express.
