Means just the color correction of the finished film material. Timing would mean roughly the same thing, but it implies the chemical and optical film-to-film type of color correction, whereas grading implies more digital work and more control i.e.: what one would do in a telecine+DaVinci suite.

What specifically would you like to know more about it?
