Well, I would definitly not pay too much attention to award shows. In general I skip the movies that won more than 1 oscar, since it probably won't bring any news. I'm not going to mention 'Traffic' again... Oh, I did it again...

Example: When Stanley Kubrick was brought on board to rescue Spartacus, he told cinematographer Russel Metty to sit in the corner and Kubrick did most of the work himself. Metty won an Oscar for his work. :-)
