Hello all...

Having been around the list now for quite some time, I've noticed a pattern that relates to discussions of the emergence of cheaper NLE's. To whit, many talk of their clients being happy with the 'much lower price'. Some have talked about charging up to 1/2 as much as some of the going industry rates.

My question to everybody is this: Why charge less ? is your fee really strictly just an amortization of your gear or are you charging for TALENT ?

I'm not particularly greedy, but neither am I interested in being a starving artist anymore. More so I'm curious about what my fellow bovines think about their fee's and why they are what they are. Is it in our interest as editors to possibly financially devalue what we do ?

Hmmmmm.

Best Regards,

Bob
