How to make a Documentary or story reel?

Just courious... I was thinking of making a Story or Documentary demo reel. But I wasn't sure how to proceed. I can't see how you can cut up a story to show the editing.. it seems that you would ruin the pace of the piece.

So how do you make a demo reel to sell yourself as a content editor? I have 7 stories about 3-4 min each. That's a long reel back to back.

Any thoughts?
