Re: Whats yur record?

My record is more a week long story ending up with the birth of my only child. I was cutting with for AMW in Washington, DC which are long days anyway. Durring this time another of my clients call and say, "they have this short piece that needs to be done". Where have we all heard that one before? Well anyway, Monday for AMW was about 22 hrs, drive home, sleep for 3 hrs, drive back for Tuesday. Tuesday was 13 hrs AMW and then the headache begins. My short piece client is totatly unprepared for the AVID, yes I was told I know what shots and bites I want to use. Famous last words from the clueless!!!! After 4 hrs of loading all the footage, I called it a night/day and arrived home about 3 am. Back on Wednesday 7 am for more AMW. Well AMW was going as well as they normally do, but back to the other client (clueless) just trouble all the way, what shot should we use there, does that sound correct? Oh, by the way it has to be finished before Friday! Get home Wednesday/Thursday morning 2 am, back at 7 am, more AMW and then the shit hits the fan (clueless) starts to complain to the owner about what has been going on. Let's see, eell, finished piece is about 27 minutes long. What happened to 10 minutes? (Clueless) was totally unprepared, had no script and I snapped. Don't get me wrong if I do something that was my fault, I'm the first person to fess up to it and figure out how to correct it, but don't berate me to the owner, especially when you are lying though your teeth!!! So, I spen the rest of this day, getting through completion of (clueless's) project. I call him and see when he wants to come see it and here is my response. "Just messenger it out to me," (it's 6 pm already). Excuse me but I thought this was a high priority project? Get off of your lazy butt and sign off on this, instead of me waiting for two hours for your comments. Finally got a call from him about 8:45pm was some bs changes, which I was hard pressed for time, I had caught the train into DC and the last one leaves at 10:05 pm and I have to take the metro from work to get back to the train station. I get out with the changes with very little time to spare, but I make the train. Whew! Get home and realize that I haven't eaten all day, so I grab a quick bite and off to dreamland. I was planning to take Friday off, or so I thought. My wife wakes me up at 3 am and tells me that she thinks her water broke. Oh, all I want to do is sleep!!! Off to the hospital, where at 7:58 pm that Friday night, my son was born.
