I'm not sure how the output format makes a difference in how streamlined your work is. Uncompressed AVI will result in the largest total file size. Rendering as compressed TGA will retain perfect quality, and save space as well. If it's an organization issue, then just put each image sequence into its own folder.

Anyway, uncompressed AVI works fine for most people -- that is, they are able to load and save uncompressed AVIs in particleIllusion without problems.

Can you send me a small version (just a few frames) of an uncompressed AVI that you cannot load in particleIllusion? (or upload it somewhere and send me the URL)

Alan.
