I bet the framerate of the AVI is 29.97x where x is not 0. I should make that comparison smarter so you don't keep getting that annoying message.

The "AVI request format" error is a different issue -- I'm not sure why some clips would work and some wouldn't, especially if they use the same codec and are the same resolution.

If you can provide more info, I may be able to help more.
