How do you save output as Targa's in version 2 SE?

The free version of Version 2 SE recently arrived here in OZ on Digit magazine. I have only just loaded up the program & tried creating an effect which I wished to try out once it had been recorded as a set of Targa stills, so that they then could then be imported into my video editing program which can use the Targa's as an overlay. When I click record I am only offered 3 options Avi, JPEG or BMP. Where is the Targa option which I understand is required if you wish to save output with a transparent background? I have never used Targa file but I know that already have several other programs on this machine that supports Targa as well. The PI help shows that Targa's should be available.
