Shatter an image

Hi.
Assume I have a picture of a person standing next to a tower.
Is there any way I can make the picture shatter away to pieces or a little more complicated,
just the tower shattering away ?
I was looking at the archives ..similar question ...there were files put up by Aharon Rabinowitz on his site under temp dir ..but now those are not there ...
Hope my request is clear. thanks a lot again to this forum ..for I am progressing leaps and bounds with PI, that too with a demo version :-)
