Syncing Video suite to your audio suite.

Greatings and Happy Hollidays to you all!!
I posted this under a few other categories so I hope you don't mind me posting here as well.

Short of investing in a ProTools Suite and an AVID Edit Suite, I am looking for a cost effective way to sync my DAW (Cakewalk 9.0) and my Editing hardware (Canopus DVRaptor and Adobe Premiere) so I am able to do full foley work while actually watching the edited piece on an NTSC monitor (or just a big screen in the studio :)
I believe I have searched the world over and have NOT found true love. (I know, bad Hee-Haw joke!)

I am willing to switch hardware but really don't know where to look. I LOVE My Canopus hardware but I am not married to Premiere! (Canopus' only glaring weekness) I am also not married to Cakewalk althought I have been a loyal user since ver.5.0 (I need the MIDI and Audio capabilities)I work exclusively in DV and also have a 24track ADAT system w/BRC. My DAW is using the Aardvark, Aark24 8in/8out soundcard with ADAT SYNC, and Word Clock I/O. I also have a Winman 4X4S with SMPTE So I have cakewalk synced to my ADATS from this (Cant get the Aardvark to slave to the ADAT sync, it wants to be the master but then I loose the use of my BRC) and I would be in heaven if I could bring my editing software into the fold. On this level am I fooling myself? What would you suggest as the simplest (read, least expensive)way to start my dream of scoring movies and doing foley work.

Sorry if I rambled on, Just trying to be thorough.
Any suggestion from the pros out there?
