Uncompressed Editing Hardware Roundup

Ok. This is what we've got to work with.
(2) Panasonic AJ-D650 DVCPRO Studio Editing Decks (NO FW)
(1) Panasonic AJ-D700 DVCPRO Camera (NO FW)
(lots) Panasonic S-VHS Decks
(1) OLD Video Toaster on Win95 box(upgrade?)
(2) Handcrafted Dual PIII 1Ghz, 1GBram, with 120gb IDE RAID each and DVStorm by Canopus
(6) Dell 420 Dual PIII 833, 512mb ram, Ultra SCSI2 cards
(2) Apple G4 733, 1.5GB Ram, pioneer drives, 120gb ide raid drives
(truckload) Apple G4 400s, G3s, Dell Optiplexs
Several seats of Premiere, After Effects Pro, and Lightwave on Mac and PC.
We want to shoot high quality in a studio setting (I'm assuming the camera is fine) and edit as lossless as possible. The outputs will be BetaSP, DVD, CD, streaming, and VHS
1. What capture/editing system/card would produce the highest quality uncompressed (and preferably realtime) on either the Mac or PC systems but not produce too much price shock?
2. Would this suggested system work well with animations or other content created outside of this system?
3. Would it be better to buy a new FW equiped DVCPRO VTR than go through component capture with the 650s that we've got?
4. Any suggestions on a second and third camera would be nice also
Thanks!
