This was one of the well known shortcomings of MCP as a Terran product. The release of Cleaner 5 made encoding Windows Media files realistic. MCP 4 was better with MPEG, though, believe it or not. If you upgrade to Cleaner 5, the 5.1 update will be available soon for "free". HTH
