BradWireframe render problems

I'm trying to render out an object in wireframe mode. All I want is the object in wireframe floating out in black with an alpha channel. I've tried the "render as editor" option in the render settings, but then I get the grid and white background of the perspective window. Display tags don't seem to work either. What do I do?
