Hi Mike,

I was also thinking some engraving in the blade would be cool, I was leaning towards black though. I'm also kicking around the idea of replacing the inlays in the handle with some engravings, perhaps even cutting a design all the way thorugh in the middle of the ball on the end of the handle.
