Thanks Adam. I knew there had to be a way to transfer files into Cinema.

As far as the time frame for learning goes, 6-8 months could be verly little or quite a bit depending on how focused you are and how much time during each day you spent learning the app.

If you spend two hours a day and half of that screwing around instead of learning, then indeed 8 months isn't going to do it. but if you spend several hours every day six days a week and do it productively, you could become quite proficient I would think. Especially since your focus would primarly be on architectural modeling (easier than character modeling), texturing, lighting amd rendering. No special effects, Thinking Particles, Xpresso, etc.., and very little in the way of animation (mostly camera moves).

Oh if I only had that kind of time and drive, the things I could do. .. :-)

Dern working to pay the bill collector takes all my energy though.
