Hi Ryan,

In addition to what Mark has said, I tend to render out from C4D to image sequences as opposed to movies (unless I'm doing a low res test). This way if anything happens to the render, you can pick up where you left off without breaking a sweat.

I typically use the "TIFF" format at 30fps. Like the animation codec, this is an uncompressed format, so the files sizes are much bigger. Almost all work I do in AE is rendered out from AE using the Animation codec. I then do converting for video using Premiere, or Media Cleamer EZ for anything destined for web of CD-ROM.
